Esther Teixeira

Esther Teixeira joined CRD in 2023. Prior to joining the firm, she was a correctional officer in the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. During her 15-year career, she worked in a variety of custody facilities, Sheriff’s Department station jails, and special units, including the Custody Operations Command division, and received two Sheriff’s Department commendations for quality of service. Ms. Teixeira is a commissioned officer in the United States Army Reserve, Judge Advocate General’s Corps.  As a judge advocate, Ms. Teixeira possesses legal expertise in military criminal law, administrative law, and national security law.

Ms. Teixeira earned a BA in Political Science from UCLA and her JD from Southwestern Law School. During law school, she was a student advocate at the Southwestern Law School Children’s Rights Clinic, representing low-income children with disabilities and their families in disciplinary and special education matters.

Ms. Teixeira is a member of the California State Bar and is admitted to practice in the United States District Court, Central District of California.
